Mom and dad went with the Chambers to the Big 12 Tourney in KC. Mom was sick the whole time and ended up coming home at 3:00 in the morning to discover she had ruptured her appendix. It was a long 17 days in the hospital until she finally recovered. I was lucky and had spring break so I spend most my time at the hospital.
Tara and I would text daily about our mothers. Teresa came everyday and walked with mom, gave her massages, and washed her hair. Tara and I laughed because we will be these two before we know it!
These were just a group of her 20 plus gifts and flowers and over 100 cards!
We watched every one of KU's NCAA Tournament games in her hospital room. Sad to say this was when we lost in the Elite Eight.
