Colorado Spring Break 2015

We spent part of Spring Break in Longmont, Colorado with the Pools at their new home. We miss them being in Kansas but love the excuse to go to see them! We started the trip with a Saint Patrick's Day Parade, followed by the Denver Zoo, Casa Bonita, lunch with Madeline at school, and lots of Mr. Potato Head, sprinklers, movies, and great fun! Chase couldn't get enough of Madeline and Lucy and even asked to hold baby Ella. Reid and Ella are a match made in heaven! They constantly laughed at each other and Reid wanted to eat her toes and fingers whenever he got ahold of them!

We drove to Limon and stayed there on the way. Coming home we did the trip with no stops and both boys slept the entire way!

Lucy helped clean up the saucer for Reid. They also got used to having baby gates in a house with a lot of stairs!

88 Degrees at the Denver Zoo was not what we expected. Reid and Ella were great and napped on and off. Madeline, Lucy, and Chase made it all day and we didn't have any meltdowns!

This is Ella's reaction to Reid! They were cracking each other up!

Isn't this how most people lug their child around? He was determined not to fall asleep! Not sure it was comfy for Jason but it was for Chase!

As kids I remember going to Casa Bonita with Tara and our families. The food is horrible but the atmosphere is great for kids. Chase left his mark by throwing his dinosaur into the waterfall!

Unfortunately Madeline was not on spring break so I went and had lunch with her at school. Her little friend wanted in the picture too! Lucy, Chase, Reid, and Ella got a lot of extra play time and we went to the "train" park when Madeline got home.

Great Grandpa's 85th Birthday Party

We had a short trip to Inman for my grandpa's 85th birthday. We weren't there very long when Chase grabbed a cup of hot coffee and dumped it on himself. Thank goodness my dad grabbed him and had him in the bathroom before I got to him. When I went in he had his shirt off and was screaming. The skin was already peeling off his chest. As a mom you freak out. Dad had it under control. As long as we were outside he was doing ok because it was cold. Lots of people offered to help out and we got some medicine to calm him down. Unfortunately this meant we needed to head for home. I held him the whole way. He finally fell asleep on the way home. I was shocked at how well he did the next couple of days. He never picked at his bandages or complained. He ran around without a shirt for three days but he was a trooper. They healed up great! We were really lucky!

Reid's Baptism

Reid was baptized on Feb. 22nd. Josh and Tara are God Parents to both our boys! There was a snow storm on the way so some people couldn't make it and it was a quick service to get everybody on the road!

My dad was assisting minister. Reid cried most of the time until my mom brought him a bottle. We just prayed for no spit up!

Family shots with both boys was a challenge!

This is a crew!

Rob and Ashley made it to the service with baby Reese.

Two peas in a pod. Where ever one is  you will find the other, usually hiding on this day!
